So. It’s Saturday, and if you’re anything like me, you’ve been spending these precious hours off so far finessing the art of balance between hedonism and total inactivity. The workweek still seems relatively far away and there are no problems on the horizon, as far as you’re concerned. Bring on the chocolate martinis. We’re done with the 9 to 5 for now.

Creme Fraiche Blueberry Raspberry Muffins

If I could wish for anybody in the world to come to my house and make me food, it would probably be Dan Lepard. This is a very good, very easy recipe from one of his (in my opinion) best books. I’ve made it a couple times and never fail to be amazed at how little work really goes into it, despite the fact that there’s icing involved. The single modification I made to his recipe was to add raspberries to the mix.

Another ‘normal’ food post – sorry, sugar addicts. I have sweet stuff in the pipeline! ┬áThis is a concept I accidentally invented during my undergrad, when I was trying to figure out an easy, cheap but still palatable means of eating well for an entire week, particularly around exam time when it felt like there would be no time for any fun in the kitchen.
